How it basically works is that the Dodow device emits a dim blue light on to the ceiling which then beats rhythmically, what you then have to do is to breathe in rhythm with the light, inhaling when the beam expands and exhaling when it retracts.
By doing so you are focused on your breathing and the light alone, so all of your thought processes like have you turned the gas off, the stress that you are under at work, the party at the weekend that you don’t really want to go to, leave your mind and ‘stimulates your waking state’ and decreases your brain activity.
This in turn gradually slows down your breathing from 11 to 6 breaths per minute (bpm), in a regular rhythmic pattern conducive to a relaxed state where the exhalation is longer than the inhalation. If you continue this for 8 minutes you should be asleep in no time at all!
