Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and what better way to celebrate it than to play a Valentines Day game! (Maybe this one is just for all the singeltons out there) However, if you aren’t single this game is still LOADS of fun to play! Table Manners is here to ruin your date! (In a good way)

This new quirky game may look VR but it is NON VR based and is described as a crazy physics based dating sim. Table Manners is the game where you secure the date and head off to the most glamorous restaurant ever. However, you’re a disembodied hand with a slight knack for catastrophe.

Even the most simplest of tasks become very difficult and you end up causing such a mess! Though if your date is having fun, what’s the problem eh?

The physics is what makes this game, the most simplest of tasks such as pouring some wine become very difficult, but again in a good way. It makes things a challenge and you’ve got to make sure your date is happy first and foremost!

There’s loads of different levels too, such as restaurantes, ice bars and sushi bars. The physics and gameplay mechanics will change too depending on what level you are on. So make sure you impress your date in each one! Get a better reputation and unlock more and more potential dates. However, as you do so the challenges and dating scenarios, the difficulty will increase! You can even customise your hand, with tattoos and accessories, nothing else though, because you’re a hand. Just a hand.

As the physics are a lot of fun, expect there to be a domino effect type problems along the way, things will get from bad to worse very quick and it’s up to you to fix it to improve that first impression!

However, as with the physics are already difficult, we’ve heard there’s a zero-gravity level!

We had lots of fun playing this game and we’re sure you’re going to love it too, not too sure if your date will be impressed though….

Zombie Army 4: Dead War Review – Is it worth an hour?

Zombie Army 4: Dead War – Is it worth an hour?

Welcome to How To Kill An Hour, this is Worth An Hour, the show where we take a look at your favourite games and ask are they worth an hour of your time? In this week’s episode we’re taking a look at Rebellion ZombieArmy 4: Dead War!

Posted by How To Kill an Hour on Tuesday, 11 February 2020

In this episode of Worth An Hour we’re taking a look at Zombie Army 4: Dead War!

Hitler’s hordes are back for more in this spine-chilling shooter from the makers of Sniper Elite 4! Abominable occult enemies, epic weapons and a harrowing new campaign for 1-4 players await in 1940s Europe, as you fight to save humankind from undead Armageddon!

Graphics

First up is the graphics:

This game looks FANTASTIC, the graphics are crisp, beautiful and gritty. The levels look very realistic and really bring a sense of Zombie devastation to life. You can really imagine what it must smell like.

Which brings me on to the blood in this game. There’s lots of it. This game is not for the faint hearted, your innocent grandma or kids. Bodies explode, heads disintegrate and limbs get torn to smithereens.

It’s gorey, sticky and absolutely amazing. Just what you want from a Zombie game.

Sounds Design

The sound design is brilliantly done, each of the guns sound brutal, especially the chain gun, a lot of fun to use mowing down hordes of zombies with that!

Plus the special moves sound even better, such as the slowing down of time to get juuuust the right shot on, really makes you feel as if time is slowing down.

Zombies sound just how you’d expect them too, with an added umph, just to make you feel a little bit uneasy. This is especially true in level 2 with the sacrifice it just sounds scary, makes you feel very uneasy!

The X-Ray sounds are just as gruesome, you hear every flesh wound, every organ squish and every skull crack. You seriously see yourself sitting there going – cooooor in that type of amazement where you don’t wanna watch but you can’t take your eyes off of it.

The character quips in the game are also there, as with many Rebellion games, the voice acting is incredible and there funny one liners are there too! Stand still for too long and the characters will give you a funny quip to get a move on!

Gameplay

Last up is gameplay

Zombie Army 4: Dead War is split up into 3 different modes, campaign, weekly events and horde.

Horde

Horde is very very fun, you take on a horde of zombies in waves, and as with many Rebellion games, the level gets bigger as you progress further into the waves, and as you do so, so do the difficulty and the amount of zombies increases.

But what I especially liked is the fact that you have to conserve ammo! There’s ammo crates that you always have to run back to when you run out of ammo, this makes it a little bit more realistic and that much more challenging!

I got to try it in single player mode and multiplayer mode, unfortunately i didn’t get to play it with a full squad as I was playing a review copy of the game but I image how much fun this game will be with 4 people as I really enjoyed it with just 2!

Upgrades

You can upgrade your guns to make taking down the enemies that much easier and there’s special moves which will help you out of a hole if you need it. Such as the brain buster for the pistol. Slow down time, pick your targets and then take them out. These can be upgraded as you progress through the game to kill more enemies.

Or slow down time with a rifle and pick your perfect spot!

Epic Melee’s are LOTS of fun too! These can also be changed, I got to have a go of the machete and electric fist.

Or get Get 10 melee kills and you get something called an epic take down. These are short cut scenes which show BRUTAL takedowns which change depending on what you have in your hand. Stomp on some heads, execute some zombie ass and that’s just two choices!

Comedy

The game is also very quirky throughout the different levels there’s different little things you can interact with that can make you laugh. Such as using a typewriter, washing your hands, use a vending machine or even play draughts!

X-Ray kills are also back! These kills are epic, if you time things just right, the game will go into a cut scene and follow the bullet into the enemy…..showing you everything! However I managed to shoot someone in the d**k. Twice.

However, on the third attempt I got a head shot!

The Zombies

The zombie’s themselves aren’t no pushover….in a crowd of them anyway….you’ll soon find yourself getting surrounded and eventually dying, so make your shots in a tactical manner! You can run away from them but they’ll always find a way to find you!

The bosses even more so, they just won’t leave you alone! There’s always a specific way to kill a zombie boss, the two I’ve tried, I had to shoot something on their back, and they have heavy guns too. Defeat them. You get the gun. Just got to defeat them first.

Throughout the levels there’s various different tasks you got to complete too, it’s not as simple as going from A to B. Which I love! I had to get fuel for a boat, cogs for a bridge mechanism all the while avoiding getting eaten by Zombies. Did I mention you only get to use your handgun whilst carrying things? – Yeah, that makes it 10 times as harder. Good luck.

Stomping on Zombie corpses allows you to get various different pick ups such as ammo or health, which is vital in this game! Always carry a medi pack!

Upgrades

You get various different perks in the game such as the offensive which allow you to (review footage here) and the defensive which one of them allows you a second chance at life. Get ‘killed’ and then you stay on the ground for a while, shoot and kill a zombie and you get a second chance at life. You got lucky….only once though. Die again and that’s it you’re done. Sorry.

Finally you get ranked throughout the game, that’s throughout horde, campaign and weekly events. Increase your rank, increase your upgrade points to upgrade your guns, unlock various perks and then upgrade the perks as you rank up too!

Campaign

The two campaign levels I played were very very good. The first level was ok, I see that more of a introductory level to how the game is and the game mechanics, as boy oh boy did things go up a notch in level 2. I was dying so much. My health was depleted and I had no midi-kits rookie mistake. So ended up just running away from them for the most part and then turning back to shoot the horde of Zombies chasing me.

The 2nd level had this crazy zombie shark too which was something to behold, although I didn’t want to wait around too long to see if it would come back and bite my ass.

The story is great and the characters keep you entertained and interested in where things are going throughout, definitely worth having a play through, especially with some friends!

Weekly Events

These are a beautiful twist on the Zombie Army 4: Dead War campaign. The weekly event that I played had various different tasks to complete. One of them was complete the first campaign level only using a rifle and a pistol. This made things very difficult! But I loved the twist on it and it brought an extra layer of replay-ability to it.

Just another way to keep things fresh and I loved it!

I’m really looking forward to the different weekly events that Rebellion are going to put on, I’ll definitely be keeping my eye on them as it keeps things fresh and alive – unlike most things in Zombie Army 4: Dead War.

Overall thoughts

In conclusion this game is TONS of fun, I mean I only played it briefly with 4 people and that was very enjoyable. Get 3 other friends involved and you got a party on your hands.

Zombie Army 4:Dead War is without doubt one of THE BEST zombie games I have played in YEARS! Hats off to rebellion for creating a stellar multiplayer game that doesn’t get stale or boring or repetitive. There’s a reason why Rebellion are renowned for creating great shooting games and great zombie games at that.

I really really enjoyed it and cannot wait to see how much I can upgrade my character and their weapons.

Gonna have to pick up a squad now and go kick some zombie ass!

Pick it up and play it for many many hour, you won’t regret it!

Fifa Ultimate Team Gambling?

Fifa Ultimate Team can be argued that it’s a form of gambling. To be honest, they would probably be right. You buy packs and you don’t know what’s in them, you get a bad pack, so you buy more packs. The cycle repeats itself.

It’s unregulated gambling and the Belgian Game Commission called it illegal. Now two French lawyers are looking to file two separate lawsuits against EA in France. They claim that FIFA features gambling mechanics.

A quote from 2 lawyers shows how loot boxes are perceived in Europe| Source: Kotaku

EA have allegedly referred to them as “surprise mechanics” which isn’t that what gambling is? The lawsuits are due to players who have spent over $650 on Ultimate Team. According to the clients of the lawsuits, they claim that it’s possible to spend excessive amounts of cash on the game. While not getting any decent players in return for what they’ve spent.

It can be argued that you can become addicted to opening backs and the randomness of what you get in them, combined with the fact you buy them with real money, makes it gambling.

So, is it a form of gambling? Should loot boxes style mechanics be banned?

Tastecard: Self-Love Restaurant

Single on Valentines Day? Why not eat alone in front of a mirror? Tastecard have launched the UK’s first ‘self-love restaurant’ which features a mirror at each table so diners can enjoy a romantic meal by themselves. Well, in front of themselves.

The pop-up is based in London restaurant Two4One. It was created following a survey by Mintel. It was based on 2,000 UK Consumers that found 1 in 3 people are ‘regularly eating every meal alone’. While in London this figure will raise to almost half.

The diners club press states that “Dining solo on Valentine’s Day is still a taboo”. They suggeted reading material too! The happy defence of eating out alone. The press release states that Valentines Day infamously excludes singletons and that they want to ‘promote self love over anything else’

While the double entendres may suggest something else. Diners are promised mood boosting playlists, feel good soul food and mirrors which reflect motivational quotes to you.

However, you will be sitting with someone, in time for the last course the waiters will release the mirrors to reveal you’ve been eating alongside someone the whole time. You get the option to split the bill and claim a 2 for one deal.

“People need to remember the importance of loving yourself and despite numerous restaurants that are great for solo dining, no restaurant experience has been designed with [this] function,” Matt Turner, founder of Tastecard.

Others weren’t on board with Tastecard’s initiative

However Nicola Slawson, who runs the The Single Supplement newsletter, wasn’t impressed:

“My initial reaction was that it’s patronising and irritating and that people really need to stop assuming that single people don’t love themselves.

I’m sick of that narrative. What would make it easier to dine alone is if the restaurant staff could hide their shock and not make it so awkward.”

All money raised will be going to the charity, Mary’s Meals, which provides hungry children with a meal every school day.

“But I still don’t think I would love myself more if I was forced to sit in front of a mirror and see exactly what my face looks like when I eat…..In fact, It might have quite the opposite effect.”

Two4One Restaurant is at 46 Great Eastern St, London EC2A 3EP – tickets are available on Eventbrite.

Emojis 2020 – What we’re getting

Emojis 2020, what are we getting? Well There’s a brand new list of inclusive emojis that will be soon it’s way to smartphones near you.

Such as a gender-neutral Santa called Mx Claus, however, in total there’s 117 new icons which we be released. Furthermore a transgender flag and a man in a wedding dress will be released. Other ones include bubble tea, bottle feeding parents and a smiling face with a tear. This would express a happy/sad emotion.

The update will bring a ‘pinched fingers’ emoji, which has already been dubbed the ‘Italian hand getsure’. The Mx Claus and the man in a wedding dress is part of an update. Which lets use change the gender of an emoji.

The Unicode Foundation introduced the new icons as part of an update called Emoji 13.o. While it’s up to individual manufacturers to introduce the emoji’s. We’re likely to see the roll out in the 2nd half of 2020.

Emojis 2020: Emojipedia

Explaining the new ‘gender-inclusive’ options, Emojipedia editor-in-chief Jeremy Burge wrote:

‘This has been achieved by reclassifying the previous emojis for “man in tuxedo” and ‘bride with veil’ as gender-neutral. ‘Future software updates will show these with an ambiguous gender, and rename them to ‘person in tuxedo’ and ‘person with veil’ respectively.

New sequences in Emoji 13.0 permit a choice of a woman or man for either the tuxedo or veil-wearing emojis.

During this transition, current platforms will continue to show the older, gendered appearance for these emojis, until the new gendered sequences are implemented on iOS, Android, and other apps later in 2020.

First pushed by Google in early 2019, having three choices for human emojis (person – with no gender specified, or options for a woman or man) avoids issues where some emojis have a woman, man, or an ambiguous gender.

Many of these decisions are a relic of much earlier emoji releases, such as the gender pair of a bride being a man in tuxedo, which previously prevented there from being the option of a woman wearing the same clothing.’

Range Rover PHEV

We’ve recently been on a fantastic road trip, in a beast of a car, the Range Rover Phev! This was all thanks to an app called THE OUT!

Firstly we want to make a note of how BEAUTIFUL this car is. PHEV vehicles enjoy the same levels of quality and refinement as other Range Rovers. The materials and finish are premium and at an exemplar level. Not only that it also comes with lots of TECH! Just what we love! Such as the Touch Pro Duo and the Interactive Driver Display. Touch Pro Duo is Range Rovers latest entertainment/information technology. They’re calling it infotainment system. It seamlessly integrates two 10” high-definition Touchscreens, allowing you to simultaneously interact with multiple features easily! The Interactive Driver Display is an optional 12.3″ HD display which will show a vast amount of driving information and active safety data. Allowing you to see a full map and control other media. Ever get into a car on a hot day and got burned?! Well to prevent overheating there’s an auto sunblind which will close automatically when passengers have disembarked and the doors locked.

Charging

To charge the Range Rover PHEV, it takes 7.5 hours to recharge using your home charging cable. However this is dependent on your local power supply. Furthermore by using Timed Charging you can specify when the PHEV charges. Allowing you to take advantage of off peak electricity tariffs. While by using this you could simply choose the best time of day to charge for you! The PHEV has been designed fantastically, for example the charging port is in the front grille! So not only does it provide an easy connection, it’s hidden from sight and doesn’t affect how the PHEV looks!

Intelligent Plug-In Hybrid Display

Integrated within Touch Pro Duo and the Interactive Driver Display, we are absolutely amazed by this feature. As it will tell you just how good you’re driving, including how efficient you are! So all that money spent on filling up may be down to you! The display will give you real time data about hwo the electric motor is working alongside the petrol engine.

Cabin Preconditioning

This feature would be fantastic on those cold winter mornings! You can pre-heat or pre-cool the inside of the car before you get in via the app. All this without turning on the vehicles engine! Furthermore you still maintain full electric range!

Intelligent Routing

PHEV owners will be able to see where the charging points are as they’ll be highlighted on a given route. This works alongside the InControl feature. It will also detail the most efficient route for both gradient and terrain, shown on the upper Touchscreen.

Plug In Hybrid Fuel Economy

When you are using EV mode, the engine will give a mileage limit of 25-24miles. On Longer journeys both motors (electric/petrol) will work alongside to produce an incredible 72g/km CO2 emissions! Therefore saving on fuel costs and a cleaner environment!

Quiet

The Range Rover PHEV is the quietest Range Rover! Furthermore it has a seamless transition between petrol and electric, creating a sense of serenity within the interior space.

Exceptional Capabilities

As with all Range Rovers, the Range Rover PHEV is no different. It can handle even the most treacherous of terrains with ease. It will give the most composed and capable drive across any terrain. EV mode allows for exceptional control at low speeds. Plus maintaining Ranger Rovers best in class wading capacity of up to 900mm!

Ride

The off roading is super easy with the AWD capabilities. You can attack the demands of the terrain as standard. However with the Optional Terrain Response 2 you can do so much more! The PHEV will automatically adapt to the response of the engine, gearbox, differentials and chassis system, to the driving conditions. Furthermore there’s a total of 7 different driving modes. Such as Dynamic, Eco, Comfort, Grass/Gravel/Snow, Mud and Ruts, Sand and Rock Crawl. One aspect of what makes the PHEV have a smooth ride is the Speed Lowering System. This will use the electronic air suspension to reduce the aerodynamic drag at cruising speeds. How? Well the system will lower the vehicle ride height by 15mm from normal ride height. However, this will only happen once 65mph has been reached. Furthermore as part of the Terrain Response, the car will calibrate the suspension settings to provide a more refined drive. For example it will deliver a firmer suspension setting to accomodate a more dynamic driving style.

Help

Advanced Tow Assist will help those with trailers! It will allow you to control the direction of your trailer when reversing. The optional system, the rotary Terrain Response 2 controller, will control your  vehicles steering to achieve the desired trailer trajectory. While, Land Rover’s patented Hill Descent Control (HDC) is a standard feature. This features helps drivers with controlled descents of difficult slopes. It does this by maintaining a constant speed and applying the brake separately to each of the wheels.

Lights

The Range Rover PHEV has some incredible all round exterior LED lighting. This is as standard too! They’re pixel laser LED headlights provide 5 times the higher luminance than standard LED lights too! They become operational above 60mph when no other external lights are detected. They’ll produce clear sight for up to 55o meters!

Range Rover PHEV Safety

If a potential collision is detected drivers will get given a warning. This allows you to take action. However, if there is no action, the system will brake for you. A Lane Detection Warning system can warn you when you are unintentionally drifting out of lane. It will too notify you with a visual alert, but also give you a steering wheel vibration. Furthermore when you reverse, the senses in the rear bumper are triggered. The Touchscreen and audio feedback will indicate how close you are to obstacles. The cruise control with speed limiter will also help drivers maintain speed without continued use of the accelerator. Therefore helping to prevent fatigue!

There are also some optional added safety features:

The Drive Pack will give you Driver Condition Monitor, Blind Spot Monitor, Traffic Sign Recognition and Adaptive Speed Limiter!

Drive Pro Pack features all of the above plus Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control and High-Speed Emergency Braking.

While the Park Pack has a 360° Parking Aid and Rear Traffic Monitor. Clear Exit Monitor which will alert backseat passengers to any approaching cars, cyclists or other hazards.

Also the Park Pro features the Park Pack contents and Park Assist to make parallel and perpendicular parking easier than ever by steering your vehicle into a suitable space.

Yet, if you want it all! The Driver Assist Pack contains the most comprehensive suite of drive and park technologies. Building on both the Drive Pro and Park Pro Packs, the Driver Assist Pack offers additional Adaptive Cruise Control with Steering Assist and 360° Surround Camera.

Range Rover PHEV Technologies

Every Range Rover PHEV has a 500mb SIM card equipped. On the Essential data plan you’ll have to pay no extra. You’ll get 500mb of data per month for free for 3 years! Therefore you’ll be able to get live traffic updates and a lot more such as in-car streaming!

Enjoy all that with massage seating!  Enjoy a Hot-Stone massage whilst in the comfort of your seat! Select 25 different massage programmes which include rolling and pulse modes. This is part of optional Comfort and Comfort-Plus seating packs. Which can also come with optional rear Executive Class seats! They’ll be wider and provide deeper cushioning!

That’s not all there’s an optional FRIDGE! Yes a FRIDGE! It will be housed in the front centre console (optional extra) and accommodate up to 4 x 5ooml bottles at 5 degrees! Enjoy your drinks with another optional extra of the rear seat entertainment system which provides 2 10″ HD seat mounted articulated touchscreens!

One AMAZING feature we LOVE is an optional Land Rover Activity Key which is a fully waterproof wristband. This allows you to do things where carrying a key is less convenient. Simply leave your key in the vehicle and take your wristband with you!

Specs – Quick Look

  • Acceleration – Really quick 0-60mph in 6.4 seconds. Compared to a conventional petrol engine, the PHEV P400e gives you an additional boost in performance
  • 404hp – The PHEV p400e has incredible horsepower producing 404hp
  • 24-25mile EV Only Range – Making it able to make short commutes in just electric mode!

CockCam – Go Pro for your D

The CockCam is “the world’s first cock ring with a camera” created by UK-based sex toy company Julz. It’s basically a GoPro style camera strapped to a cock ring. It is described as a “a revolutionary sex toy that allows you to record all of your erotic moments at never seen before angles, store and view videos on your mobile device through the Secure Mobile App, taking your sexy home videos to the next level,”

It costs $159.95 and can even record in infared night vision, HD video up to 90mins at 1080p and 15 frames per second.

The CockCam promises that both the device and it’s accompanying app are secure. The website states that all the footage is stored on your mobile device and not on the app. The app is used to operate the camera and view the footage only.

Only question is, is this thing safe to use?

Therefore we had to find out! While we didn’t use one ourselves, the CockCam FAQ page does note that the camera can get warm during periods of prolonged use. (Will many guys even get that far? Boom Boom)

Super Nintendo World

All Nintendo fans rejoice! There is going to be a Super Nintendo World Park this summer ahead of the Olympic Games! It’s all thanks to Universal Studios Japan. They recently released a teaser which features a song from Galantis and Charlie XCX

It’s just a teaser, with mostly CGI, so you won’t get an idea of what the rides or areas look like. But nonetheless we’re still very very excited to see what’s in store!

However, there was a site that launched and this detailed some rather interesting things. Such as a real life Mario Kart experience and being able to travel around the park on Yoshi’s back. How cool would that be! We’re intrigued as to how we can throw shells and banana peels at people. As who wouldn’t want to try Mario Kart for real!? Just don’t make us super small!

Also available are “power up Bands” this looks like a wearable park pass, or may be even a fast pass? We’ll know more once the park opens in the summer. There’s also going to be Mario-Style blocks in real life, not too sure if you can start climbing them though!

Furthermore Bloomberg reported that the wearable band and the accompanying smartphone app will allow visitors to the park to battle bosses and collect coins! So as the video says, you’ll get to “play in real world this summer”

Don’t want to go all the way to Japan (although this may be the BEST place to experience it!) Future parks will also come to Hollywood, Japan and Singapore!
