Mobile Ordering Macdonalds!

Available now, Mcdonald’s is offering, in select locations, to order and pay for their meal before they go into store!

Just install the app and one of the 22 supporting restaurants have been selected, users will be able to see a new “ordering” tab to build their order. Favourite products to save time when re-ordering and payment details can be kept right there in the app for even quicker ordering. Go to the store scan the QR code at the designated check in point. Then voila, collect your meal!

To keep orders fresh the meal will only start being prepared once you scan that QR code so I guess there’s an upside and a downside to this.

Only available to 22 stores at the moment, McDonald’s hopes to roll it out to all of its stores within 18 months.

Facebook told TechCrunch: “We’re always testing ways to make Messenger more fun and engaging. This is a small test where we enable people to share an emoji that best represents their feelings on a message.”
