Kill A Bit: Resident Evil Biohazard

You remember when we said we liked, even loved anything Zombies and horror based? Well what we didn’t mention is that not everyone likes horror. Funk Butcher downloaded the Resident Evil: BioHazard demo on PS4 this week. Let’s just say that he didn’t help himself and his fears when he waited until dusk to play this game in the dark.

Unlike the other Resident Evil games this installment is the first one in the series to be played in first person. It follows the same premise as you would usually expect from a Resident Evil game. Survive. The game is set after the events of Resident Evil 6, “in modern day”, you are a character called Ethan, Ethan does not have combat skills like past characters, but he is in search of his missing wife and as any typical horror fan would know, it leads him to a derelict plantation mansion. Well we all know what happens then…….

Jason Bourne Film

Here at How To Kill An Hour we don’t mind a film or two when deciding to kill an hour away from the podcast and working. If you don’t know “Jason Bourne” is the 5th installment of the Bourne series (4th if you don’t include the Jeremy Renner sequel) directed by Paul Greengrass with Matt Damon reprising his role as the rogue agent Jason Bourne. The film is about the former CIA assassin resurfacing while those who are hunting him down develop a new programme to find him. He’s fully recovered from the knock on his head which gave him amnesia and enlists the help of Nicky Parsons to uncover the truth behind his dads death. All while kicking government ass in the process.

This sounds awesome right? Well co-host Funk Butcher didn’t share that opinion, while doing his best to defend Suicide Squad a few weeks back, Funk didn’t hold back with his thoughts on how he spent his time with Matt Damon. Ouch!

Here at How To Kill An Hour we came across this really cool new product from Tesla called the Powerwall What the Powerwall basically is, is a massive battery for your home. It’s automated and compact so it’s not an eye sore and is super easy to install. The Powerwall is really cool in that it charges using the electricity that is generated from solar panels or when utility rates are low and powers your home in the evening instead of the grid. It’s so powerful you can even go off the grid entirely! Saving yourself a few bucks in the process, all from the power of the SUN! Pizza Hut is going to be your new food companion to the weekly pre-drinks all around the UK. Why I hear you ask? Well the fast food restaurant is launching a world first “The playable DJ Pizza Box” Yes you read that right, a playable DJ Pizza Box. PLAYABLE!! Pizza Hut have partnered with Novalia an electronics company that specialises in adding electronics to the surfaces that we touch on a day to day bases. On the pizza boxes to help you rave before the rave are images of turntables printed in conductive ink – it includes everything any budding DJ could ask for such as Mixer, Cross Fader, Two Decks and so much more (we’ll leave the rest for you to find out yourselves because we know you want to!) The box connects to your phone or laptop via bluetooth and even works with professional software like Serato!

They are very limited, so much so that only 5 will be given to 5 of their 350 restaurants that are spread across the UK. To find out where they are going to be available keep an eye on Pizza Hut’s UK Twitter account.

NEW MUSIC (VIDEO) – The Joi-Fuhl ‘Don’t You Worry’

Friend of the show and long time co-host, Funk Butcher has a brand new project and they are known as ‘The Joi-Fuhl’ . They released ‘Don’t You Worry’ back in February and now it has a stunning a picturesque music video to accompany the upbeat, soul and funk infused house track. Directed by Myles Whittingham the video features two twenty-somethings having fun, laughing and frolicking about in a forest throwing painted dust at one another. Generally having a good time, which is what we all love house music for isn’t it. FUN! This track is forcing House music lovers to realise why we all fell in love with the genre in the first place, proving in style that house music is still alive and well and isn’t going anywhere soon!
