Persona 5 Royal – Top 5 Tips To Boost Your Stats!

Just got Persona 5 Royal and need to boost your stats? Watch on to find out our Top 5 tips to help get Joker to the best he can be!

Posted by How To Kill an Hour on Wednesday, 1 April 2020

Persona 5 Royal is a brand new RPG experience that’s based around the Persona! series. You take the form of Joker and join the Phantom Thieves of Hearts. It is your task to break free from the chains of modern society, stage grand heists and infiltrate the minds of the corrupt. Therefore it is up to you to make them change their ways for the good! to do just that:

Persona 5 is packed with new characters, confidants, an incredible story and new locations to explore. What we especially liked was the new grappling hook mechanic for a stealthy way to get around

Persona 5

Here are the top 5 ways to build your character, in Persona 5 Royal. Persona 5 Royal is arguably the most stylist JRPG with a fur base battle system that has, which has come out in a long long time, and as you can see by the metacritic score it is one of the top 5 jrpg’s ever released.

Persona comes from the shin megami tensei series and what makes persona 5 royal so slick and amazing is, it’s not like other RPGS, in most RPGs you only get character stats once you’re in a battle mode. But Persona 5 royal, NO! It likes to give you stats no matter what you’re doing, in your day. So we wanted to look at the top 5 stats ways you can build your character stats, while you’re killing time in Persona 5 Royal.

Persona 5 Top Tips #1 – Eating and Drinking

Tokyo is well known for its food, everything from Raymen, Katsu Curry to a simple Beef bowl and Persona 5 royal is no exception.

One of my favourite ways to stat build in person is eating and evening prepping food. Anything from being in the coffee shop brewing some of that famous coffee, and getting those major SP points that you need for battles. Upping your guts skills eating steak while you study in the dinner. But my favourite food stat  has to be Big Bang Burger. Persona 5 Royals, fast food chain. At big Bang Burger. You can order a take away, but you can also do the challenge and the challenge is what does it for me, because basically you get to eat a giant burger, which looks hilarious but you also get to increase 3 of your stats. Proficiency, Guts and Knowledge. But this isn’t an easy ride, you have to your stats on lock to finish it.

Persona 5 Top Tips #2 Kitchijoji

P5 Royal has introduced a Whole new area in the game called Kitchijoji, now this has lots of new things you can do, which is super dope, we’re talking, a clothing store, food vendors. Shops and even a temple, where you can buff your SP Points.

But my favourite new addition by far is the Penguin Sniper! Now the Penguin Sniper is a America style pool bar where you can do various activities, now my favourite activity to do at this bar is to play darts. Yes you can call your whole clique and play some darts. You do this by using your Dualshock controller like a PS Move Motion controller, and basically you direct it and give it a flick of the wrist to shoot your dart.

The aim of the game is by hitting your darts you must reduce your points from 301 to exactly 0 points, so you can’t just spam bullseye, move around and count down from 301.

Now this really dope, I spent hours just playing and getting lost in this. And you get to Increase your batten pass stats in battle mode, which is super useful when your in palaces and momentous. This is one of my favourites.

Persona 5 Top Tips #3 – Playing Pool

Now another activity you can do at the penguin sniper is play billiards or pool to you and me.

Yes you can play pool, with your confidants. Now this is another really cool activities. Now I’m Persona 5 Royal you can chill with your confidants in the evening and pool is something I’d recommend you do to build up your stats and your relationship bonus, so you’re stronger when you fight together

Persona 5 Top Tips #4 – Dating

There’s array of fellow students you can date and get to know from class honor student, who are all about the books. Although your a teenager you can date adults.  Becky your class teacher who’s moon lighting in a Japanese maid services, new girl, Kashmui, a feisty gymnast. You can get to know the local doctor. Who’s has a rock chick vibe and fludes you with medication.

So many amazing characters to connect with and find yourself very own wifey.

Persona 5 Top Tips #5 – Thieves Den

Thieves den cool little metaverse den for the Phantom thieves to flex, you can spend you den points to buy statues of your favourite characters personas, new character Jose keep you updated with everything you needs, there’s an excuse gallery, to purchase artwork, dope movie theatre to watch your favourite Anime cutscenes. Music and lastly a cool card game.

Episode 344 Punching Michael B Jordan w/Rory Reid

Super Nintendo World

All Nintendo fans rejoice! There is going to be a Super Nintendo World Park this summer ahead of the Olympic Games! It’s all thanks to Universal Studios Japan. They recently released a teaser which features a song from Galantis and Charlie XCX

It’s just a teaser, with mostly CGI, so you won’t get an idea of what the rides or areas look like. But nonetheless we’re still very very excited to see what’s in store!

However, there was a site that launched and this detailed some rather interesting things. Such as a real life Mario Kart experience and being able to travel around the park on Yoshi’s back. How cool would that be! We’re intrigued as to how we can throw shells and banana peels at people. As who wouldn’t want to try Mario Kart for real!? Just don’t make us super small!

Also available are “power up Bands” this looks like a wearable park pass, or may be even a fast pass? We’ll know more once the park opens in the summer. There’s also going to be Mario-Style blocks in real life, not too sure if you can start climbing them though!

Furthermore Bloomberg reported that the wearable band and the accompanying smartphone app will allow visitors to the park to battle bosses and collect coins! So as the video says, you’ll get to “play in real world this summer”

Don’t want to go all the way to Japan (although this may be the BEST place to experience it!) Future parks will also come to Hollywood, Japan and Singapore!

PLAYING POKER HOW TO KILL AN HOUR

Legendary Guy’s Night Ideas You Need

A night with the guys. It’s a night for fun, laughing, banter, and drinks, and it has to be one that everyone can remember. It doesn’t have to be a bachelor’s night out for single guys in your circle. You can invite all the guys and have a night to remember – no limits!

Men need a way to blow off some steam. So, whether one of you buys one of the many used Aston Martin cars for sale from Dick Lovett and pulls up ready for a road trip, or you simply need a day out at the golf to unwind and bond, we’ve got some legendary ideas that should make the cut. You need to go and have fun every now and then. Let’s take a look at some of the best guys’ night out ideas around.

PLAYING POKER HOW TO KILL AN HOUR

At The Grill

You do not have to jaunt up and down the country to get a good night in with your friends. The summer looms ahead, so why not coordinate when everyone is free and book a date in the calendar so that you can come together and grill? A few steaks, cold beers, and damn tasty side dishes already make for a great night. Throw in a darts board, and you have a competition going!

Poker Night

We’ve picked poker specifically based on the fact that the game isn’t hard to learn, and you can play for dares or bets if you don’t want to play for cash. Put a ceiling on your buy-in, and you can all have a good time without going bankrupt. It’s a great way to test each other and challenge one another to win, and you also get the chance to win some cash! You can swap houses for hosting, and then when you get good at the game, hit up a casino and enjoy what they have to offer with much a bigger prize.

Movie Night – With A Twist!

Instead of heading to the movie theater and not talking to each other, why not put your own cinematic experience in the backyard? You can add a large white sheet and get a movie projector to project the latest and greatest action movies. Bring snacks and drinks, and get comfortable. There are so many options for movie night that you are spoilt for choice.

Sports Games

Are you basketball fans? Is there enough of you to be able to play football? Get a team together and add sports games to grill night. You can run up a little healthy competition and get together to trash talk the action one on one.

Road Trip

The ultimate guys’ night idea is the beginning of a road trip. Pick a night you can all leave and throw a dart at a map to hit the city you want to get to. This type of trip can be life-changing for you and your friends, and if you’ve already got the Aston Martin, you can travel in style!

Gonzalo Martin Interview Life Is Strange 2

Recently MC Fixer interviewed Gonzalo Martin from Life Is Strange 2 for us and discussed all things Life is Strange 2 and what it's like being a voice actor in a video game!

Posted by How To Kill an Hour on Thursday, 16 January 2020

Life Is Strange 2 is an award winning episodic video game from Square Enix and is a continuation of the incredibly popular and successful video game series Life Is Strange!

The game is a long awaited sequel from game developers DONTNOD Entertainment. It features the lives of two brothers Sean and Daniel Diaz. They are forced to run away from their home in Seattle. Following the consequences fo a tragic incident. Furthermore they head to Mexico, to get away from it all. While hiding a sudden, yet, mysterious supernatural power.

Sean becomes responsible for his much younger brother. Life on the road is tough for him, as he begins to realise, his decisions will impact the lives of whom he comes in contact with forever.

(Life Is Strange)

Play Through

Life Is Strange 2 is not an all out action game that will have you constantly on the move. It is a movie like game that requires you to make decisions throughout the game via a multi-choice screen. The choices you make will alter the path you take along the way. However, even the small, seemingly mundane choices have huge consequences later on down the line. It is a lot like a movie, a movie that you can control. We certainly had a lot of fun playing it and we’re sure that you will to!

Flip Grip For Nintendo Switch

The Flip Grip is a fantastic piece of kit that we LOVED using. We never thought about playing the switch in vertical mode before. But boy does it make a difference! The Flip Grip is the perfect gaming accessory for all those vertical mode games on the Switch.

Such as a variety of classic games such as Donkey Kong Jnr, Centipede, Pac Man or up to date games too such as Pinball on Panic Flip or Star Wars Pinball.

Simply attach a pair of Joy Cons on the rails either side of the flip grip will allow you to flip the Switch 90 degrees. Voila! It’s a simple as that. Vertical handheld gaming action.

Plus you don’t even lose a pixel of gaming real-estate on the screen.

The Flip Grip is a collaboration between video game historian and Retronauts founder Jeremy Parish, engineer and designer Mike Choi, and Fangamer. – Fan Gamer

To find out which games work vertically, there’s two great lists one is from Retronauts and the other is from imore.com

Marvel's Avengers

Virgin Media hosted an exclusive Marvel’s Avengers event in London

Marvel's Avengers interview w/Shaun Escayg

We recently attended a very special evening set up by Virginmedia and got the chance to sit down and have a chat with the creative lead of Square Enix's Marvel Studios Avengers game!

Posted by How To Kill an Hour on Monday, 16 December 2019

Virgin Media hosted an exclusive Marvel’s Avengers event in London and we got to go! We even got to give the game a little go for ourselves! We cannot say much, but what we can say is that it is FANTASTIC! It’s going to be incredible, not just for single player lovers. But for co-op fans too! It really is a game that you’ll love playing with friends.

Not only did we get to play the game. We got to sit down with Shaun Escayg, creative director of the Marvel’s Avengers game. He spoke to us all about how his cinema background helped shape the Marvel’s Avengers game. In the story line and how players play as different characters. You’ll see from playing the game very early on that it feels very cinematic. That was down to Shaun! It not only plays like a movie, it feels like one too!

We touched on a lot, but we also touched on Kamala Khan a new character in the Marvel’s Avengers universe who shapes a lot of the story of the game. Both Marcus and Shaun are HUGE fans of the character and we think that you will too! She’s a normal person who becomes an Avenger, a lot of the story revolves around Kamala dealing with her new found powers and how she can harness them for good and fit in with the other Avengers.

Marvel’s Avengers – The Plot

This game has a campaign which is set 5 years after A Day. A Day is a day which celebrates all things Avengers. So, things go ary and the Avengers are now outcasts. The team is required to re-assemble and take on a brand new threat. This story is a brand new and original story separate and not related to the MCU that we all know and love.

You get to take on all of your favourite characters from The Avengers, such as Captain America, Thor and Black Widow. You can play as a single player or as Co-Operatively too. Online play is there as you’d expect and can play in teams of four as various different heroes. Whilst new characters and regions will come post launch and for FREE!

Avengers is coming to PC, PS4, Stadia and Xbox one on 15th May 2020. Also there will be an early beta access and other unique benefits for Playstation players. Benefits which are yet to be revealed!

Charge and Store – Nintendo Switch

You have a Nintendo Switch. With plenty of games, a pro controller, joy cons and a Poke Ball. But how do you store them all? Can’t have them lying about and causing a mess or getting dusty. Or even worse, lost or broken! Therefore you need a storage solution! We have been trying out the Charge and Store by Venom for the Nintendo Switch. It’s fantastic!

Not only can you store up to six games safely. You can also charge your pro controller and joycons all at once! How convenient is that?! Especially if you keep your Switch docked and play on the big screen a lot. There’s no need to constantly be removing and plugging in your joy cons. They can stay charged nearer to you and never get lost!

There’s separate charge points for a Pro Controller, 2 Joy Con controllers and a Poke Ball. Better yet, there’s an LED charge indicator for when the controllers are fully powered. Furthermore it’s USB powered so you can either charge via a mans socket or USB powered device!

We think the Charge and Store is a fantastic little device and we think that ALL Nintendo Switch users should have one. You won’t be disappointed.
