Join Rick, Daryl, Michonne and other iconic characters from AMC’s The Walking Dead in the official mobile game of the show. Do you have what it takes to survive the zombie apocalypse of TWD: No Man’s Land?

The Walking Dead: No Man’s Land is a thrilling, action-packed RPG where tactical choices make the difference between life and death. Only the strongest will survive so choose your team wisely: bring Michonne and dominate in close-quarter combat or send Rick to dispatch enemies from afar. Or perhaps you’ll choose to snipe from a distance with Daryl’s crossbow, or mow the herd down with Abraham’s assault rifle. (iTunes)

Limbo

Limbo is a puzzle-platform video game developed by independent studio Playdead. The game was released in July 2010 on Xbox Live Arcade, and has since been ported to several other systems, including the PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Windows. Limbo is a 2D side-scroller, incorporating a physics system that governs environmental objects and the player character. The player guides an unnamed boy through dangerous environments and traps as he searches for his sister. The developer built the game’s puzzles expecting the player to fail before finding the correct solution. Playdead called the style of play “trial and death”, and used gruesome imagery for the boy’s deaths to steer the player from unworkable solutions. (Wiki)

iOS 11 HOT POINTS

Here are some of the features that iOS 11 will be bringing this September/October:

  • Apple Music gets user profiles and playlist sharing – Apple Music subscribers can now create a social profile and advertise what they are listening to and share the playlists that they have made.
  • Screenshot sharing tools – When you take a screenshot now it shows you a preview in the bottom left of the screen, once you click it you can go ahead and “mark it up” save and/or share it.
  • Know when an app is sharing your location – At all times! When an app uses your location in the background, in iOS 11 it is more transparent, with a blue bar highlighting so.
  • Volume Indicator – Is now smaller and located in top right hand of the screen
  • WIFI Sharing – If an iOS device running iOS11 is nearby you can now share your WiFi signal without having to share wifi passwords.
  • Do not disturb when driving – Your phone (if you set it to) will go completely blank when it registers that you are driving, no on screen notifications, no screen at all in fact, you can also set it to auto-reply to messages to let others know you’re driving.
  • Facebook/Twitter login support removed.  – No one knows why
  • Pay people within iMessage – Working via an iMessage app (much like gifs) you can send money to loved ones, the money will appear in Apple Pay as a cash card and this can be used like any other form of payment in your Apple Pay Wallet.
  • Control Center  – Is now one page, bigger and a lot lot cleaner! With the ability to add setting/remove various settings too!
  • App store gets a makeover – BIG PHOTOS!

Twitter Re-Design

Twitter  is looking a lot different, it’s more unified, profile pictures are circles and on mobile moves the profile page to the side of the app, accessed by tapping your profile picture at the top of the timeline.

It’s layout is still the same but makes use of whitespace better, the reply button is now a speech bubble, as according to Twitter people thought the arrow icon meant ‘delete or go back’ – while on iOS Twitter have integrated Safari View Controller to their app instead of their own in-app browser.

See below what the new design looks like!

The new Twitter is available now by downloading the latest update or by clicking here: Apple / Android

UBER CEO TOLD OFF!

UBER has been breaking a lot of Apple’s rules for the app store. Uber Founder Travis Kalanick had fingerprinting code on their phones – which basically kept information on an iPhone AFTER it had been wiped clean. Apple prides itself on privacy and the fact that when a phone is wiped clean – they mean CLEAN.

Uber used geofencing to prevent Apple from noticing. (Basically programming their app to not display the offending code on any phones accessing the app in the region around Apple HQ)

Tim Cook told Uber to remove the code or face being banned from the app store. Uber fought back and said that the pracitce prevented criminals from installing the app on stolen phones, using stolen credit cards to book journeys and then repeat the process after wiping the phone.

Tim Cook ushered Kalanick into his office for a meeting. NY Times reported:

When Mr. Kalanick arrived at the mid-afternoon meeting sporting his favourite pair of bright red sneakers and hot-pink socks, Mr. Cook was prepared.

“So, I’ve heard you’ve been breaking some of our rules,” Mr. Cook said in his calm, Southern tone. Stop the trickery, Mr. Cook then demanded, or Uber’s app would be kicked out of Apple’s App Store.

For Mr. Kalanick, the moment was fraught with tension. If Uber’s app was yanked from the App Store, it would lose access to millions of iPhone customers — essentially destroying the ride-hailing company’s business. So Mr. Kalanick acceded.

Mr. Kalanick was shaken by Mr. Cook’s scolding, according to a person who saw him after the meeting.

But only momentarily. After all, Mr. Kalanick had faced off against Apple, and Uber had survived. He had lived to fight another day.

Garageband (iPhone)

GarageBand turns your iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch into a collection of Touch Instruments and a full-featured recording studio — so you can make music anywhere you go. And with Live Loops, it makes it easy for anyone to have fun creating music like a DJ, by triggering loops and audio effects in real time. Use Multi-Touch gestures to play keyboards, guitars, and drums. Enjoy Smart Instruments that make you sound like a pro — even if you’ve never played a note before. Plug in a guitar or bass and play through classic amps and stompbox effects. Use a Touch Instrument, microphone, or a guitar and instantly record a performance with support for up of 32 tracks. Audio Unit Extensions in iOS 10 allow you to play, record and mix third-party instruments or effects right into GarageBand. And share your song using email, Facebook, YouTube, SoundCloud, or AirDrop for iOS.

FUN FACT: Steve Lacy, a young musician who is currently a member of the band “The Internet” Produced the beat for the Kendrick’s track “Pride” from his latest record “DAMN” using GarageBand on his phone.

Lacy told Wired that he made beats all the time on his iPhone before he got access to a professional studio

“I got this piece called the iRig, I saw you could plug it into your iPhone, they got amps on here, see what cool guitar sounds I could get.”

The model Steve Lacy uses has a 3.5mm jack on it so he uses an old cracked, beat up iPhone for recording guitars and bass through the iRig and uses his iPhone 7 to listen and compose his tracks with.
