So, because of Brexit, things are going to get A LOT more expensive in the UK app store, prices are set to rise by up to 25% in the next 7 days due to June’s vote to leave the EU.
New prices will enshrine parity between the dollar and the pound for atlast the apps on the iOS and Mac app stores. An app that costs $0.99 in the US, and used to cost £0.79, will now cost £0.99.
Apple announced the price rise in an email to app developers on Tuesday:
“when foreign exchange rates or taxation changes, we sometimes need to update prices on the App Store”
